Description:

Howling Birds Voice Lessons The class is adapted to your wishes and needs! Most of the time, we divide it into warm-ups and exercises, followed by song practice. You decide whether to emphasize the exercises or the songs; the time allocated to each part also depends on your objectives. The session is adapted to your learning style. Some of you are looking for efficiency; others need to take the time to understand how the voice works step by step. Some will want to understand the mechanisms of the voice in detail at a physiological level, while others will want to stick to a simpler or more playful (yet effective!) approach to singing. The exercises are adapted to the nature of your voice and work on posture, breathing, and body relaxation. Depending on your voice type, some exercises will be easier and more effective than others. Some will pull you upwards, while others risk keeping your vocal "bad habits" in place and thus slowing down your progress. So, choosing the right exercises for you is essential, which is what one-to-one lessons are all about! The second part of the class, devoted to working on your chosen song(s), will enable you to apply the techniques you've been working on and unleash your expressiveness and creativity! Don't be afraid to aim too high in your choice of song: they're all adaptable, and you'll often be surprised to find that you can sing what you thought was impossible! ******* Hi there, I'm Florie! Whether you're a beginner embarking on your musical journey or an experienced vocalist looking to refine your skills, I am here to support you every step of the way. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every voice is unique and deserving of nurturing and guidance. With a heart dedicated to nurturing talent and a commitment to professional excellence, I'm thrilled to embark on this musical journey with you. As an IVTOM Accredited Teacher, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise honed through rigorous training and ongoing professional development. My journey as a voice instructor began with a profound passion for understanding the intricacies of the human voice. Through IVTOM, an esteemed organization of voice professionals, and Voice Study Centre, I am equipped with comprehensive knowledge of vocal pedagogy, a scientific understanding of vocal physiology, and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest research and discoveries in the field of voice. In addition to my IVTOM accreditation, I am also a trained FLOW Phonation teacher. Through precise and independent vocal muscle usage, FLOW Phonation advocates for singing that is not only free and effortless but above all, sustainable and healthy. My training in FLOW Phonation has deepened my understanding of vocal acoustics and the intricate interplay between vocal technique and physical coordination. Beyond my credentials in voice teaching, I am also a certified ACHOLOGY Life Coach and ICI Professional Coach. These certifications reflect my holistic approach to education, where I prioritize not only the development of vocal skills but also the holistic growth and well-being of my students. Whether it's overcoming performance anxiety, building self-confidence, or managing stress, I am committed to supporting my students in every aspect of their journey. As a trainer in universities, I have had the privilege of guiding PhD students in areas such as public speaking, stress management, and self-confidence/self-esteem. This experience has deepened my understanding of the psychological aspects of learning and performance, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet each student's unique needs. In my pursuit of excellence, I continue to undergo training and education under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as ENT Hubert No and vocal experts Cecile LaRochelle, Keri Hughes, and Val rie Leahy. Additionally, I engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) at the Voice Study Centre in the UK, ensuring that my teaching practices remain current and effective. In addition to my work as a voice instructor, I am also passionate about organizing singing contests and creating musical shows for children's holiday organizations. These experiences allow me to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among my students while providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents and creativity. Let's unlock together the full potential of your voice and embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and self-expression!
